Mary Julia Angelo, 96, a lifelong resident of Weirton, WV passed away on Wednesday March 30, 2022.
Julia was born on June 10, 1925, in Weirton, WV, the youngest of eight children born to Gabriel and Esterina Testa Fornari.
Julia graduated from Weir High School in 1942 and met her future husband at a high school football game.
Julia and Chuck were married on July 20, 1946, after Chuck returned home from World War II.
Chuck provided for family as a pipefitter foreman at Weirton Steel and Julia took care of the home. For 10 years she worked with the Justice of the Peace, Tommy Bellanco.
Julia was a member of Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers.
She enjoyed bowling and was an avid BINGO player. Her family enjoyed great meals as she was an excellent baker and great cook.
In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Angelo on December 28, 2008; her two brothers, Arthur, and Charles Fornari; and sisters, Eleanor Domol, Jeanette Rigot, Alice Basil, Josephine Harcharic, and Clara Binkiewicz.
She will be remembered with love by her two sons, Tom (Lulu) Angelo and Jerry (Mary Kay) Angelo; her nine grandchildren, four step grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday 10:30 AM until time of services at 12:30 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.
Interment will follow at Saint Paul's Cemetery, Weirton, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church or to the Saint Paul's Christmas Lighting Fund 140 Walnut Street, Weirton, WV 26062.
