Julia M. Blencowe

Julia M. Blencowe, 70, passed away suddenly from a lengthy illness on November 25, 2025, at her home. In spite of her many hardships and setbacks her deep love for her children, granddaughter, family, and friends never faded. Julia was born on August 8, 1955, in Corning, NY, to Wallace L. and Catherine A. (Degliequi) Blencowe. She graduated from East High School in 1973 and later worked as a file clerk at Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post.
Julia was very artistic and enjoyed creating diamond paintings in which she shared with many family and friends. Julia was also an avid reader and loved to work on puzzles. She was also actively involved with the Corning Senior Center, where she generously volunteered her time.
She is survived by her son, Alan R.D. Edsall of Corning; granddaughter, Tessa Watson of North Carolina; and sister, Deborah Blencowe of Corning; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Coleen Ross, and her brother, Denton Blencowe Sr.
