Julia Jenelle Moore Cantrell, born on January 9, 1958, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. She was a cherished member of her family and a beloved friend to many.
Julia is survived by her daughter, Samantha Renee Franks (Godwin) Kalu, and her brother, Steve Moore. She was a proud grandmother to Bri'Anna Sharpley (Ben) Finley, Hally Sharpley (Austin) Terry, Kalee Jones (Davoy) Thompson, Gary (Isabel) Sharpley, and Christopher Sharpley Jr. Additionally, she was blessed with great-grandchildren Xyler Finley, Nova, Harmoni, and Baby Terry. Julia's loving presence will be greatly missed by her multiple nieces, nephews, treasured friends, and coworkers.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Terri Lynn Capps Sharpley, and her husband, Timothy Cantrell. Julia was also preceded in death by her sisters, Susan, Cathy, Lisa, and Gina, as well as her brother Charles. Her parents, Charles Moore and Dorothy and Lamar Williams, also welcomed her into their arms.
Julia loved spending time with her grandkids, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. As we remember Julia, we honor the love she shared with those around her and the impact she had on their lives. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
