Mrs. Julia Collins, age 90, of Silver Creek, GA, passed away peacefully Friday morning, December 26, 2025, in Rome. Born on March 22, 1935, in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, Julia was known for her kind and welcoming nature, always making those around her feel at ease. Her great sense of humor brought joy to many, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Julia dedicated a significant part of her life to her career serving others. She enjoyed working at McDonald's, where she served in several different roles but mainly as a Cook. Her commitment to her work, coupled with her approachable demeanor, made her a respected and cherished figure among her coworkers and customers alike. Mrs. Collins also loved word searches and the challenge of games like Scrabble.
She is survived by her son, Scott Collins of Silver Creek, Georgia, and her brother, Vince Calipari. Mrs. Julia's parents, John Calipari and Stella Zannino Calipari, preceded her in death, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion that Julia carried forward throughout her life.
As we remember Julia Collins, we celebrate her warmth, her laughter, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Collins will be cremated, and no formal services are planned at this time.
