Mrs. Julia R. Davis, age 90, of Hogansville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Mrs. Davis was born February 14, 1935, in Troup County, the daughter of the late Ollie James Ramsey and Laura Elizabeth Dupree Ramsey. A resident of Hogansville for most of her life, she was a devoted member of Grace Covenant Worship Center and retired as a drug and general merchandise manager with Kroger.

A woman of steadfast faith, Mrs. Davis loved her Lord with all her heart and lived her life as a testimony to that faith. Her greatest joy was her family, and she lovingly supported each generation through prayer, encouragement, and unwavering devotion. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose presence was a source of strength and comfort.

Mrs. Davis had a deep love for flowers, birds, and puzzles, finding peace and joy in the simple pleasures they brought. She delighted in watching birds, caring for her flowers, and working puzzles that kept her mind sharp and her heart content. These quiet moments reflected her gentle spirit and her appreciation for God’s creation. She also enjoyed drawing and sports, but nothing compared to the happiness she found in time spent with her family.

Survivors include her children, Charles LaBadie, Charlotte Tucker (the late T.V. Tucker), Sharon Tyler (the late Terry Tyler), all of Hogansville, Faye Webb (Mike) of LaGrange, and Kym Padro (Angel) of Moreland; 16 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Joyce Riley (the late Billy Riley) of Hogansville, Nancy Lanier (Tommy) and Marie Landers (Jack), both of Acworth; brothers, Jack Ramsey (the late Helen Ramsey) of Hogansville and Rodney Ramsey (Caroline) of Marietta; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jessie Sidney Davis; sister, Elsie Burch; and brothers, Hiram Bray, Felix “Buddy” Bray, and Joe Bray.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 5, 2026, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Pastor Alex Montgomery will officiate, and interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service.
