Julia Haden Hamilton

Julia "Judy" Hamilton, 87 years old of Charlottesville Va, gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at the Laurels of Charlottesville. Born March 21, 1938 in Fluvanna County, she was the daughter of Ruby Tucker and Loren Haden.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years and the love of her life, Cecil "Pete" Hamilton and her sister, Betty Everett.

Judy enjoyed making friends and working as a Virginia co-organizer for TOPS Club. She also enjoyed traveling, cruises, and was always present at family gatherings. She found most joy while sharing quality family time.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Curry (Mike), Vicki Morris and Debra Dyer, her grandchildren Jamie Hall, Randall Hall (Chelsie), Heather Rausch (Michael), Michael Curry (Melody), David Dyer, Mark Dyer, and her sister Mildred Spears. She is also survived by her 9 great-grandchildren, who were all very near and dear to her heart.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Laurels of Charlottesville, especially Angela Chambers and Dr. David Eki for the exceptional care that she received in her final year of life.

A graveside service will be held at Monticello Memorial Gardens – 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway – on Wednesday, November 19th, 2025 at 2:00pm.
