Julia Carol King, a beloved member of her community, was born on June 5, 1984, in Carrollton, Carroll County, Kentucky. Her journey through life came to a close on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
Julia dedicated her career to working for Dorman Products, Inc. in Warsaw, Kentucky, where she served as a picker and sorter.
Julia had a vibrant spirit filled with love for life. She found joy in planting flowers, listening to music, reading, and watching the Lifetime Channel. Her interests reflected her nurturing nature and her passion for both beauty and storytelling, which she shared with those around her.
In her personal life, Julia was a mother to her son, Dillon (Abby) King of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and her daughter, Hallie Gordy of Perry Park, Kentucky. She was a proud grandmother to her two grandchildren, Payton and Myles King. Julia is survived by her loving mother, Jackie (Dar Renfro) Maiden of Owenton, Kentucky, and her father, James Thomas of Owenton, Kentucky. She cherished the bond with her siblings: sisters Lynn (Brent) Stucker of Carrollton, Kentucky, and Jamie (Jason) Stremme of New Liberty, Kentucky, as well as her brother, JR Thomas (Stephanie Riley) of Owenton, Kentucky. Her companion, Phillip James of Carrollton, Kentucky, brought comfort and companionship. Julia leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Brian King.
Visitation for Julia will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Kentucky, starting at 3:00 PM. The burial will take place in the English Cemetery in Carrollton, KY.
Julia Carol King will be remembered for her loving heart, her dedication to her family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and kindness that will continue to resonate in the lives she touched.
