It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julia "Julie" Marie Kruse, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who transitioned peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 63. Born on December 5, 1961, Julie dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a devoted nurse for over 30 years. Her unwavering compassion and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she cared for.
Julie was a bright light in the lives of her family and friends. She was deeply committed to her loved ones and found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her love for the Cincinnati Zoo, where she cherished the beauty of nature and animals, was matched only by her passions for cross-stitch and gardening. Whether baking cakes for family gatherings or joyfully babysitting her nieces and nephews, Julie's talents were boundless, and her warmth was unforgettable. A dedicated parishioner at Saint Andrew Church in Milford, her faith served as a guiding light throughout her life.
Julie leaves behind her beloved mother, Eileen Kruse, and her siblings: Laura (James) Wolf, Joe (Julie) Kruse, Amy (David) Dziech, and Tony (Michelle) Kruse. She also cherished her role as an aunt to her nieces and nephews: Natalie (Drew) DiModica, Matthew Wolf, Joseph Kruse, Jack Westfall, Eric Dziech, Elizabeth Wolf, Aidan Kruse, Sam Kruse, Ava Westfall, Reece Kruse, Jenna Kruse, and Alex Westfall. Additionally, she welcomed the joy of great-niece and nephew, Ella Eileen and Henry Richard DiModica into her heart. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph E. Kruse, and her sister, Mary Beth Westfall.
The family will honor Julie's remarkable life with a visitation that will take place on Friday, November 7th from 9-10am with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 10am at St. Andrew Church (552 Main Street, Milford, Ohio 45150). Those attending will be welcomed not only to celebrate her life but also to share fond memories and stories that reflect the love and light she brought into the world. Following the service, a burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Montgomery, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Julie's memory to St. Jude’s's Children's Hospital.
Julie's spirit will forever remain etched in the memories of her family and friends, and her kindness will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
