Julia Ann Rushing

was born in Water Valley, Mississippi on June 25, 1941 the daughter of the late Melton and Lena Pendergrast.

On December 16, 1983, she was united in marriage to Charles "Bud" Rushing, who preceded his wife in death on June 22, 1996.

Julia worked for ITT in Corinth, Mississippi for over 20 years.  She was a member of the Savannah Church of Christ.  Julia enjoyed going to the gym, traveling, and making candy for everyone at Christmas.

She departed this life on Saturday, May 11, 2024 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 16 days.

Julia is survived by her children, Timmy Carroll and his wife Tammy of Burnsville, Mississippi and Cathy Timbes and her husband Rickey of Savannah, Tennessee; four stepchildren, Mike, Richard, Vanessa, and Vena; grandchildren, Brook Guinn and her husband Michael, Chase Timbes and his wife Stephanie, Miranda Frazier and her husband Dylan, Kylie Carroll, Anthony Carroll, and Isabella Preston; step grandchildren, Douglas Mims and Sam Mims; great grandchildren, Alissa Guinn, Sadie Guinn, Aubree Guinn, and Tinslee Timbes; brothers, Harvey Pendergrast of Burnsville, Mississippi, Nolan Pendergrast and his wife Connie of Arkansas, and William Pendergrast of Burnsville, Mississippi; and sister, Elizabeth Reed of Walnut, Mississippi.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Carroll and Michael Carroll; daughter, June Carroll; grandson, Timothy Lee Carroll; and two brothers, Charlie Pendergrast and Bobby Pendergrast.
