Julia "Julie" Ruyle (Mefford) passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by family, on June 12th, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Leonard and Josephine Mefford on December 1st, 1945.
Julie was the devoted wife to the late George Edward "Ed" Ruyle. Together, they built a life full of many warm memories, spanning over 57 years.
Julie is predeceased by her parents, Leonard and Josephine Mefford; husband, George Edward "Ed" Ruyle; and her first granddaughter, Sierra Ruyle.
Julie is lovingly remembered by her children Roy (Debra) Ruyle, Edward Scott Ruyle; granddaughter Emily Ruyle; brothers Frank Mefford, Jimmy Mefford; and sister Stacy Mefford. Julie was also an aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Julie was known for her many hobbies including being a skilled gardener. She took pride in her well-kept flower beds, with a wide variety of beautiful perennials. She was also known for her sewing, quilting, and crocheting skills. She even worked on and completed a crochet project just a week prior to her passing.
Those who knew Julie will remember her unwavering strength and resilience, her kindness, as well as her quick wit and humor.
Julie was strong in her faith and a longtime member of the All Saints Catholic Parish.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 28th at 10:00AM at All Saints Catholic Parish, 7 McMenamy Road, Saint Peters, MO, 63376. Inurnment to follow immediately after.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or All Saints Catholic Parish.
