Julia Lee "Julie" Thompson

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved Julia Lee Thompson (Julie), age 68, of Plum, PA. She was born in Monroeville, PA to the late James H. Thompson, Jr. (Lefty) and the late Mary Jane Thompson. Julie is survived by her loving sister, Nancy Thompson Geary (Joe), her cherished nephew, Matthew Geary (Sarah), her special great-nieces, Addison and Sydney, as well as her stepson, Shane Volpe and his daughters Maya and Ellen.
She is also survived by her special friend, David Reboton, loving close cousins Mary Lynne, Ken, Dennis (Mary), Mark (Kim), Lisa Cronin (Walt), Dan, Patti Trobbe and their families.
Julie was a proud "Penn Stater," graduating with a degree in Elementary Education. She then continued her education at IUP, earning her master's degree in Reading. Julie retired from teaching at Plum Borough School District, serving in the Senior High, Jr. High and finally teaching first grade for many years. She was well loved by her students and parents alike.
In honor or Julie's wishes, there will be no services. Memorial donations in Julie's name may be made to the charity of one's choice. Julie will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
