Julie was a graduate of Northside High School, in Corning, New York in 1954. After graduation, she worked for 13 years as a secretary in sales for Corning Glass Works.
She married Wilbur J. Vance on May 19,1956 in Beaver Dams, New York, at the Beaver Dams United Methodist Church, celebrating 58 years of marriage.
Julie worked as a bookkeeper and farmer at Vance Farms for 68 years. During those years, she was able to establish many long lasting and endearing relationships. Julie was a charter member of Grace Baptist Church, in Beaver Dams, New York.
Julie enjoyed being a homemaker. She was blessed to be able to spend a great deal of time with all her children and grandchildren. Julie will be remembered as a devoted and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
She is survived by her son, Jonathan (Brenda) Vance; a daughter, Janine (Matthew) Allington; grandchildren: Rachel Vance, Hayden and Brock Allington, all of Beaver Dams, and Robert (Corin) Ayers; great-grandchildren: Magdalene, Jude, Nellie, and Silas Ayers of Ohio. Also survived by sister-in-law: Patricia King; nieces: Jennell Horan, Kendra, and Glenda King; nephews: Shawn, Kyle, Kevin and Larry King, and many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur J. Vance, Feb 17, 2015, and her brothers: Carl, Jacob, and David King.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, August 1, 2024, from noon to 2pm, with a service to follow at 2pm at Grace Baptist Church, 2032 Chambers Rd, Beaver Dams, NY 14812.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Julies name may be sent to: Grace Baptist Church, 2032 Chambers Road, Beaver Dams, NY 14812, or a charity of ones choice.
