Julian Eugene Leverett, a steadfast pillar of his community and a devoted family man, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in Phenix City, Alabama, at the age of 90. Born on September 10, 1934, in Salem, Alabama, Julian's life was a testament to his unwavering faith and the love he held for his family and friends.

The memorial service for Julian Eugene Leverett will be held on Saturday, August 16th, 2025, at 11:00 AM ET at Kingdom Hall of Smiths Station. Minister Fred Long of the Jehovah's Witnesses will officiate the service, celebrating a life well-lived.

Julian was the cherished husband of Mayomie Leverett, with whom he shared nearly 70 years of marriage, a journey filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Together, they raised four daughters: Sandra Smith, Amy Poston, Donna Swick, and Joyce Haywood, all of whom inherited their father's kind heart and generous spirit. His legacy continues through his siblings, Elmer Leverett, Naomi Crowe, June Whitaker, and Anna Ruth Jensen. His numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren will fondly remember their beloved grandfather, who taught them the value of hard work and the importance of family. Julian was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Pierce and Avis (Moore) Leverett, and brothers, Billy, George, and Lewis Leverett.

Julian's life was marked by his dedication to his faith as a Jehovah's Witness minister, serving for 70 years in the local area. His congregation in Crawford held a special place in his heart, and he was known for his compassionate guidance and unwavering support. Julian's ministry was not just his vocation but his calling, and he touched the lives of many through his work.

Julian was a man of the land. Growing up on his parents' family farm, he developed a love for agriculture that would last a lifetime. He proudly owned his own farm, where plowing fields with his blue Ford tractor was more than a chore-it was his favorite pastime. On Wednesdays he would visit Jr's

Steakhouse for a pork chop, and he'd always bring his dog Elleimae a bag filled with a week's worth of bones.

Julian's life was a reflection of his faith-filled nature. He was a beacon of hope and strength for all who knew him. His love for his family was immeasurable, and his presence at family gatherings, especially those involving his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, was always a source of joy and comfort.
