Born in Warsaw, NY on October 16, 1966 to Neil and Ann Hamilton. In 1980 the family moved to Smyrna, Ga where she attended Wills High School.
On July 19, 2003 Julie married her best friend Frank Joseph DeWine Jr. Julie worked at The Smyrna Thrift store for many years before coming full time caregiver for her mother-in-law, Brenda who was living with stage 4 breast cancer and then her husband, Frank who suffered from a stroke in 2021. Julie was a loving wife, mother, step-grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, diy projects, and watching dancehall videos with her son-in-law. Julie was a superhero and wore many hats. She was a very selfless person and helped any and everyone with a smile on her face. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Frank Joseph Dewine Jr. and their children, Joseph Tyler Dewine (Mina Maccabee) and Jennifer Bryan (Rohan). She is also survived by her siblings: Frank Nelson Hamilton, John Gerald Hamilton, Malinda Hamilton, Kristin Marie Mann (Kevin), Victoria Mae Bucklew, as well as her step-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Ann Hamilton, and brother James Lewis Hamilton.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 04, 2025, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna with Father Brian Sheridan officiating. Carmichael Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. www.CarmichaelCares.com. 770-435-4467.
