Julie Ann (Zoeller) Gilchrest
Julie Ann (Zoeller) Gilchrest, 64, of Louisville, died Sunday May 26th, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her daughter and many loved ones.
Born in Louisville on October 13th, 1959, she was a graduate of Jeffersontown High School, attended Western Kentucky University and graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Louisville, GO CARDS!
Julie was a long-time employee of the Marine Electric Company, where she worked with her brother, Dave.
She loved gardening, horror movies, cooking, UofL, plants, spending time in and on the water, thunderstorms, reading and games. She loved spending time with friends and family. What Julie loved most of all was her daughter, Sam.
Julie was an independent, fun-loving and devoted mother. She was a free-spirited, nature lover that preferred being barefoot. She was a die-hard Louisville Cardinal's fan who never met a stranger. Loyal to a fault, Julie was full of passion for the people and things she loved.
She is survived by her daughter, Samantha, her son-in-law, Justin, her grandsons Aiden and Payton, her siblings Mike and Greg and many nieces and nephews, and life-long friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie and Leo Zoeller, her brother, David Zoeller, and her sister, Marilyn Underwood.
Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 pm on Friday, May 31st, 2024, the service will be Saturday at 1:00 pm, both at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd, Louisville, Ky. 40205.
