JULIE ANNETTE GREENLY, age 61, of Washington CH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
She was born on March 4, 1963 in Wilmington, Ohio to the late James L. and Phyllis A. (Grooms) Richards. She was a 1981 graduate of Washington High School. Julie proudly served her country in the United States Army. After receiving an honorable discharge, Julie returned to civilian life and worked as a nursing assistant until her health would no longer allow. She enjoyed listening to music, watching TV, spending time with her family, and she loved cats.
In addition to her parents, Julie was preceded in death by her grandmother, Reba Stout, and uncle, Tobi Richards.
Survivors include her loving husband, James Harvey Greenly, IV, whom she married on April 2, 1983; her sons, Nathaniel James Greenly, and Nicholas Edward (Katrina) Greenly; granddaughter, Madison Marie Greenly; great-grandson, Adrian James Greenly; and sister, Reba Kay Rittenhouse. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
