She was born on January 16, 1961, in Fort Dodge to William and Hazel. Julie dedicated many years of her life to caring for others through her work at Methodist Hospital, where her compassion and kindness touched countless lives.

Outside of her career, Julie's greatest joy was her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, creating memories they will carry with them forever. Julie will be remembered for her warm heart, her selflessness, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her legacy of love will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at Sunset Memorial Chapel, 7601 Fleur Drive, Des Moines, IA 50321. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 p.m., with the funeral service on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.
