Julie Nunley Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 29, 2025.
Julie Beth Nunley, born September 1, 1957, in Brownfield, Texas, to Barbara Ernest and Zane Williams, passed away peacefully in her home on September 25, 2025.

A proud graduate of Abilene High School, Class of 1974, Julie was also honored as the FFA Sweetheart, a role that reflected her warmth and vibrant spirit. In 2004, she married the love of her life, Charles Nunley. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Before retiring, Julie served as head marketer for Sam's Club for many years, where her dedication and creativity left a lasting mark. She had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life fishing with her dad, days at the lake, and water skiing in her younger years. In more recent times, she enjoyed watching Hudson & Rex and Heartland, swimming, reading, gardening and browsing garage sales for hidden treasures.

Julie is survived by her loving husband, Charles Nunley; her children: Jenny Malloy and husband Michael, Jill Holden and husband Joshua, Jaime Birdsong and husband Dan, Danielle Oetting and husband Josh, and her son Taylor Cate. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Ashlee, Kaleigh, Abigail, Julia, Karley, Landon, Layla, Landry, and Daniel.

She is also survived by her mother, Nadine Williams, sisters Sandra Jones, Luann Chastain, JoJo Williams, and her brother Kenneth Williams. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Zane Williams, her brother, Bruce Williams and her beloved dog, Mosaic "Mo".

Julie will be remembered for her kind heart, her joyful spirit, and the love she shared with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

In keeping with her wishes, no funeral service will be held. Family and friends are encouraged to honor Julie's memory in their own meaningful way whether by sharing stories, spending time by the water, or cherishing the simple joys of life that she loved so dearly.

In loving memory
