Julie Kae Pflum, a beloved mother, wife, and cherished friend, passed away on March 31, 2025, near Lamar, Nebraska, at the age of 52. Born on February 24, 1973, in Imperial, NE, Julie grew up surrounded by the warmth of her hometown, eventually graduating from Chase County High School in 1991. Julie was married to Darren Kilpatrick, the couple later divorced. Having known Bob for most of her life, what started as friendship blossomed into true love after a gathering at her brother's house. Bob caught her attention and later her heart. Julie married Robert Pflum on June 11, 2004.
Julie was a full-time mom who cherished every moment spent with her family. Her passion for photography allowed her to capture life’s beautiful moments, while her role as a sales associate at Shari's on Broadway in Imperial showcased her bubbly personality and her ability to connect with others. She was meticulous, organized, and always on time, ensuring everything was just right, whether she was planning a family gathering or a spontaneous outing. Julie had an undeniable gift for baking, with her pies being the highlight during many family celebrations. Her cinnamon rolls were legendary, and she had an extraordinary talent for transforming simple ingredients into mouthwatering dishes.
Family was the cornerstone of Julie's life. She deeply loved spending time with her grandchildren, Oaklee Bellmyer, Ryker Fortin, Oliver Gift, and Ainsley Kilpatrick, sharing joy and laughter that will forever be etched in their hearts. Julie is survived by her loving husband, Bob Pflum; her daughter, Meagan (Logan Gift) Kilpatrick; her son, Camron (Karissa Lytle) Kilpatrick; and her stepdaughters, Kristina and Alexandria Pflum. Her mother, Dorothy (Dee Dunnlap) Lattimer, and her brother, Joe (Alyssa) Quintana and her sister, Jennifer (Del) Struckmeyer
Julie was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Kelly Pflum; her ex-husband, Darren Kilpatrick; and her grandparents, Jerry (Glenda) Lattimer and Leroy Adams.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Julie's Family for a designation later.
A memorial service to celebrate Julie's life will be held at 11:00 A.M (MT) on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church with pastor Scott Adle Officiating. Inurnment will follow at Chase County Cemetery in rural chase county.
