Julie Ann Seamon

1969 - 2022

Julie Ann Seamon, 52, of Orlando, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 24, 2022, after battling several health ailments.

Julie was a 1987 graduate of Jay High School in Jay, Maine, where she was salutatorian of her class and known for her involvement in the school's drama and cross-country running programs. She attended the University of Southern Maine in Portland, and the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Foreign Languages degree.

Julie taught English as a second language for a year each in Japan and South Korea in the mid- to late 2000s. She also taught ESL at Uceda School of Orlando and held various tutoring jobs over the years.

She also worked numerous roles in the restaurant and service industry, notably at Hard Rock Cafe Universal-Orlando for many years and most recently for more than eight years at Fiddler's Green Irish Pub in Winter Park, where she was a favorite of patrons and coworkers who were like a second family to her.

Julie grew up on the family farm and apple orchard in Jay, Maine. She moved to Florida in 1990, where she lived for the rest of her life. Some of her favorite times were when her family visited from "the north" and when she visited her parents and family in Hernando Beach, Florida, where her mother and father spent their winters. She also made many trips to Maine, especially to the family's cottage on Hewett Island where she enjoyed lobsters, clams, and walking the shoreline.

Julie loved live music and was a fan of indie movies and small theaters. She enjoyed nature and the outdoors, often going for strolls around Orlando's Lake Eola or taking the family on the boat tour of the Winter Park chain of lakes. By far, her favorite activity was spending time with family and friends, often playing cards, board games, and reminiscing.

She was predeceased by her father Leon Seamon in 2016, paternal grandparents, Twining Joshua Seamon and Nettie Mae Gross (Seamon), maternal grandparents, Holman Craig Davis and Pauline Hattie Getchell (Davis), aunt Arlene Brimigion and her husband, uncle Henry "Palmer" Brimigion, Erma Grimaldi and her husband, uncle Joe Grimaldi, aunt Alice Vale, aunt Eleanor Adams and her husband uncle Fred "Sargie" Adams, aunt Althea Hoisington, uncle Orland "Bub" Seamon, uncle Alton "Babe" Seamon, uncle John Ewing, uncle Edward Weber, and uncle Dale Davis.

Julie is survived by her mother Dawn (Davis) Seamon, originally of Wilton, and her two sisters: Kathy McGovern and her husband, Matt, and their two children, Brett and Meaghan; and Pam Wagner and her husband, Phil, and their two children Alexandra and Benjamin; aunt Laura Weber, aunt Miriam Ewing, aunt Brenda Endicott and her companion Clyde Young, aunt Lois Seamon, uncle David "Donny" Vale, uncle Dick Hoisington, uncle Craig Davis and his wife, aunt Sondra Davis, aunt Wendy Davis, and numerous beloved cousins.

Julie also leaves behind many dear friends, who loved and supported her throughout the years. The family extends special thanks to Peter Kundis, Dave DiBona, Rachel Speidel, and Kim Valerio. Julie's large circle of friends and colleagues acted as an extended family throughout her life in Florida. Their support was extremely important to her.
