Julie Wayne 68, Jamestown, ND died Friday July 15, 2022 at her home in Jamestown.
Julie Corriene Brosz was born August 17, 1953 in Ellendale, ND, the daughter of
Arthur and Betty (Krueger) Brosz. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School in 1971. She graduated from Valley City State University in 1976. She then worked at the Dakota Inn in Jamestown where she met Kevin.
She and Kevin Wayne were married September 7, 1985 at Jamestown, ND. They made their home in Jamestown and had two children together, Justin and Chelsey. She worked as a manager at Joy’s Hallmark for nearly 20 years until the store closed. Julie started work at First Community Credit Union as a receptionist until retiring in 2015.
She was a dedicated member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, where she was a lay delegate and served many positions within the church council. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and held positions at the local, district and conference levels, served as Dean of Mission U, and attended the national assembly. Julie was an ever-faithful servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ. She inspired many with her unyielding faith and kindness.
Julie’s heritage was an important part of her life. She was a member of the Germans From Russia Heritage Society and attended annual conventions throughout the years. She also enjoyed volunteering in the community of Jamestown. Julie treasured her grandchildren, Parker and Rylie, and loved spending as much time as she could with them.
Julie is survived by her husband, Kevin, Jamestown; 2 children, Justin Wayne, Northfield, MN; Chelsey (Travis) Hemmelgarn, Perham, MN; 2 grandchildren, Parker and Rylie; her mother Betty Brosz, Jamestown; 1 brother, Timothy (Lynda) Brosz, Bismarck,ND and 1 sister, Roxane (Russ) Madio, Davie, FL.
She was preceded in death by her father.
