Juliet Louise Boemer (nee Steen) (Julie) ObituaryMinnetonka - Age 85 of Minnetonka, passed away early on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from complications from a massive stroke suffered on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

Julie was born on November 28, 1939, one of two tiny twins born to Joseph B. and Juliet Loomis Snavely Steen in Minneapolis. Julie and her twin brother, Frederick, were so tiny in fact, that they each fit into their fathers' hands after their birth. They joined their older brother Joseph B. "Bud" Jr. and sister Marjorie, "Marjie", to complete the Steen family

Life wasn't very easy for them, however, each one of the children grew into kind, funny, loving, and hardworking people who loved each other very much.

Julie is predeceased by her husband, Richard Boemer; parents, Joseph B. Steen, Sr. and Juliet Snavely Steen, her brother, Joseph B. Steen, Jr., sister, Marjorie Schmitt, and her twin brother, Frederick.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Karen Steen; her stepchildren, Pam Berzelius, Greg (Debbie) Boemer, Tom (LeeAnn) Boemer, Jenny Spalding (Scott); grandchildren, Katie Carewickham, Anna Berzelius, Rodney Boemer, Zack (Elisabeth) Boemer, Dylan and Ryan Spalding; nephews and nieces, Mark (Debbie) Steen, Craig Steen, Joseph B. Steen III "Jay" (Sue), Lisa Schmitt, Shari Schmitt, Jennifer Foster (Will); Julie is also survived by many great-grandchildren; as well as, great-nieces and nephews, Ryan, Jacob, Emma and Julia Steen, William Foster and Nicole Gunther.

Julie was a kind, funny, and loving person who loved to be with her family and friends, laughing and often enjoying a vodka gimlet (3 olives, please!) She loved her brothers and sister and missed them all dearly.

Our family takes great comfort in knowing that she is reunited with everyone she has missed so much.

Thank you, Julie, for always being such a wonderful Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Wife, Stepmother, Grandmother, Cousin and friend to all who have had the pleasure to have known you!

Rest well, Juliet, you deserve it! We will forever love and miss you.

Funeral Service 11am Saturday November 29th with visitation beginning at 10am at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 West 50th Street, Edina.

In Lieu of flowers, donations in her honor can be made to True Friends or Wounded Warrior Project.
