Julius was born June 4, 1933, in Flint, Michigan to the late Julius and Lottie (Smith) Koepke. Julius married Marsha Russell on November 21, 1953. Together, they shared a beautiful journey spanning 72 wonderful years, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As a proud United States Navy Veteran, Julius served his country from 1952 to 1956, embodying the values of loyalty and bravery. After his service, he dedicated 30 years of his career to AC Sparkplug, where he was greatly valued. Julius found joy in the art of woodworking, creating small pieces of furniture that brought warmth and charm to many homes. He cherished the moments spent traveling to Navy ship reunions, playing cards, and shooting pool with his son, Norm, forging a bond that lasted through time. The memory of shared anniversary and special occasion trips to Gillies will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are: Loving wife, Marcia Koepke; Children: Norm Koepke, Brenda (Kenneth) Foether, Lonna (Scott) Rice; Many grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his siblings: Leonard Koepke and Lerease Bartz.
