DENTY, Merilyn Ann – of Mt. Morris, age 92, died Sunday, September 28, 2025, at her residence. Honoring Merilyn's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no service will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the Crossover Outreach.

Merilyn was born September 2, 1933, in White County, Tennessee to the late Clarence and Myrtle (Guy) Phifer. She grew up in Doyle, Tennessee, and graduated from White County High School with the class of 1950. On August 14, 1954, she married Larry Denty in Hannibal, Missouri, and he preceded her in death on September 29, 2019. Merilyn, alongside her husband, bought Beechwood Greens Golf Course where the family still runs and enjoys it. She has enjoyed years of leagues and outings, even scoring a hole in one. Her hobbies are golfing, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, going to garage sales, shopping and going out to eat. She was an avid bowler and bowled in several leagues. Merilyn enjoyed golfing, shopping, garage sales, and going out to eat.

Surviving are: Children, Terri Denty, Cheryl Denty-Thomas, Brian (Audra) Denty; Grandchildren, Sarah, Morgan (Jonay), Anne (Travis), Michael, Haley, Heather Thomas, Jeremy (Amber), Heather (Mark), Brian Alan, Coletin, Jadyn (Jacob); Great Grandchildren, Kaiden, Celina, Miyah, Elijah, Jaxson, Addison, Alexa, Harper, Landon, Carson, Mark, Easton, Nathan, Emily, Kaytlin, Lily, Logan, Ava, Madalyn; Sister, Johnnie (Norm) Hudson. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband, Larry Denty; Son, Stephen Denty; Grandson, Casey Denty; Granddaughter, Lauren Denty; Son in law, Bill Thomas; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
