Mr. Julius Donnie McDowell

Julius Donnie McDowell passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025. He is proceeded in depth by his mother Marianna McDowell his stepmother Hattie Bell McDowell, his father Willie James McDowell. Proceeded in depth, his sibling. Ledell McDowell(brother). Dorothy McDowell.(Brown ) Sister and Melva Lee McDowell (sister). Two daughters Betty Jean McDowell, Carolyn, McDonald, and one granddaughter, Samantha Alexis smith.

Julius was born in Bladen County on January 1, 1938 to Willie and Marianna McDowell. Julius was a man of quiet spirit, very humble in a given soul his favorite phrase when ask, how are you doing? He would always say I'm doing all right so far thanks the Lord he has so much love for his whole family.

In his early years, Julius work as a farmer and a supervisor with a roofing company before he retired. He also enjoyed hunting fishing, but also enjoyed visiting with his friends under the pecan tree and Tolarsville, North Carolina. Especially his buddy Lacey Carrie, who also is deceased.

Julius is survived by his wife, Betty Joyce McDowell his seven children Donald Smith Sr. (Ellen), Dora Mae Wilson, Marjorie Ann McDowell Julius McDowell (Mishar) , George, Willie, McDowell, Joyce Ann McDowell, Nanette McDowell; His sibling Fordie Mae McDowell (McNeil) 30 grandchildren 46 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and the host of nieces and nephews
