Julius Artis, "Joe Bo" Silver, 81, passed away peacefully ay his home on January 22, 2025. He was born on July 18, 1943 in Halifax County NC to the late Pattie and Julius Silver. Julius is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Minnie Massenburg Silver. He was devoted husband, father, and grandfather, leaving behind his children: Barry Boone, Ginger Carter, and Kaiyon Silver. Grandchildren Kerry Carter, R' Millyun Johnson who brought him great joy. Julius is also survived by his sisters Earnestine Evans, Mittie Richardson, Pattie Richardson and Dorothy Evans. A hardworking man, Julius spent his career as a long-distance truck driver before retiring. In his free time, he loved tending to his garden, where he found peace and fulfillment. He was dedicated member of Mt. Bethel Indian Baptist Church, where he proudly served as an usher. Julius will be remembered for his kindness, strong work ethic, and love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 1:00-1:45 pm at Mount Bethel Baptist Church with a funeral service to be held at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at church cemetery.
