June Marie Divan

June Divan, 98, of Walworth, formerly of Beloit, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Golden Years in Walworth, WI.

She was born March 17, 1927 in Marseilles, IL, the daughter of Joe and Lucille (Berta) Buffo. June was a 1945 graduate and valedictorian of Marseilles High School. She met her future husband, Walter Divan, at the University of Illinois – Champaign. On August 28, 1948, they were married at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Marseilles, IL. Walter predeceased June on March 9, 2016.

As a young wife, June was an avid volunteer, teaching Sunday school classes, volunteering with the PTA, and leading Girl Scouts troops. In later years, this passion for volunteerism evolved, and in 1973 June founded the Rock County Retired Senior Volunteer Program (R.S.V.P.). As her career blossomed, she remained a volunteer herself; locally with Beloit Hospital, Zonta and Rotary and held many leadership positions in State and National professional organizations. She remained the Director of R.S.V.P. for 24 years, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the River of Life United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her children, Richard (Sue) Divan of Wautoma, WI, Debra (Mike Frank) Norris of Delavan, WI, and Cindy (Michael) Clemens of Racine, WI; grandchildren, Jill (Stuart Shave) Divan, Jeffrey Divan, Allan Divan, Nicole (Eric) Morton, Cory (Liezl) Norris, Sarah Clemens and Caroline Clemens; great grandchildren, Jaxon Norris, Decker Morton and Cade Morton.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Joan Buffo; and brother-in-law, Herb Divan.

The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Years Assisted Living and Badger Hospice for their compassionate care of June through the years.

Visitation will take place at 10:00 am, followed by the Funeral service at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Eugene Berres officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Rock County Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
