June Lariscy Gardner, age 87, of Baxley passed away Friday, October 17, 2025 at Appling Healthcare.
Mrs. Gardner was born June 2, 1938 in Sylvania, Georgia to the late Jacob Loy Lariscy and the late Wilma Elizabeth Wiley Lariscy. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church and a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband, Willie B. Gardner; son, Rev. William “Billy” Gardner; son-in-law, Benjamin Peacock; sister, Mary Rahn; and brothers, Bill & Carroll Lariscy.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathryn Peacock of Brunswick; son, Glenn (Lynn) Gardner and David (Cheryl) Gardner both of Baxley; daughter-in-law, Kathryn Gardner of Baxley; sister, Loyce Larisey of Rincon; sister-in-law, Renee Gardner of Arnoldsville; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Williamson, Rev. Mick Malone, Rev. Brannen Pate and Rev. Rick Brown officiating.
Interment will follow in Midway Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Aaron Gardner, Chris Gardner, Kevin Perry, Wayne Mullis, Fran Escamilla, Ben Peacock, Gavin Gardner and Jamie Cravey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Midway Ladies Sunday School Class & Discipleship Training Class, Genie Stone, Leland & Cecile Griffin, David Roberts & Sarah Smith, JoAnn Beecher, Brenda Mobley, Dr. Orlando Fernando & staff, and Dr. Leticia Poblete.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Midway Baptist Church or The Gideons Appling Camp.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
