June Gaulke Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Harder Funeral Home - Brookfield on Jan. 22, 2026.
June S. Gaulke

(nee Schutz) January 22, 2026, age 94. Beloved wife of the late Charles O. Dear mother of Mark Gaulke and Todd (Patricia) Gaulke. Grandmother of D.J. (Amanda) Gaulke and Kristin (Sam Anderson) Gaulke. Also survived by her loyal and loving cat, Sabrina, was always by her side.

June grew up in Milwaukee, just west of State Fair Park, and attended Solomon Juneau High School, graduating with the class of 1949. After high school, she moved with her parents to a small farm in Slinger, Wisconsin. She began working as an office employee at Square D Products in Milwaukee.

In 1953, June found the love of her life, Chuck (Charlie), through a mutual family friend. They were married in 1955, beginning a devoted partnership that would last 67 years, until Chuck's passing in 2022. Together they made their home in Milwaukee and welcomed two loving sons, Mark and Todd. The family later moved to Wauwatosa in 1965 and ultimately settled in Brookfield in 1983.

June was an amazing homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She found joy in boating, singing, birds, flowers, and gardening. One of her greatest sources of happiness was her close relationship with her grandchildren, DJ and Kristin, whom she adored.

June will always be remembered for her open friendliness, her big, welcoming smile, and her insistence on giving you a hug.

The family extends very special thanks to the staff at Discovery Commons in Brookfield, especially to Patricia (PT) and Jan (OT) for their caring attention and concern. They also are grateful for Dr. Guru Murthy from Froedtert Hospital for his warm and loving care over the past 2 years.

Visitation Saturday January 31 at Wisconsin Memorial Park - Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Drive, Brookfield, from 1:00 PM until the time of funeral service at 2:00 PM. Entombment Wisconsin Memorial Park.
