Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother
Waterbury, CT June (Pesce) Ieronimo, 96, passed away on May 27, 2023.
She was the only child of the late Angelo and Mary (Christiano) Pesce and
was predeceased by her husband, John Anthony Ieronimo Sr. and her son,
John Anthony Ieronimo Jr.
June is survived by her daughter, Maria Druan and husband Tom of Prospect
CT, son, Raymond Ieronimo and wife Lisa of Haverhill MA, and daughter-
in-law, Michelle Ieronimo of Shelton CT. She is also survived by
grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Angela Druan of Waterbury CT; Tom,
wife Emily, and children Maeve and Miles Druan of Roslindale MA; Laura,
husband Drew, and son Lyle Watson of Roslindale MA; Rachel, husband
Tim, and children Christopher and Grace Noia of Woodbridge CT; Gregory
Ieronimo and wife Danielle of Redondo Beach CA; and Alexander Ieronimo
and wife Morgan of Dedham MA.
June enjoyed spending time with her cousins, who were more like brothers
and sisters, and her best friend Yolanda Genovese. She was an accomplished
pianist and was known for sponge cakes she prepared for family events.
June's favorite pastime was watching old films and recalling movie star
trivia. She was blessed to be taken care of by the staff at Apple Rehab in
Watertown, where she resided for the past five years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at
11:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church,
67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury. Family and friends are asked to meet
directly at the church. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery,
Watertown. There are no calling hours.
