She was born to the late Hugo C. and Margaret M. (nee Zimmer) Hohgrefe on April 10, 1935 in Chester, Illinois.
June married Danny D. James on September 25, 1954 in Bremen, Illinois; he preceded her in death on March 8, 2020.
She was a dedicated homemaker and owned House of Ceramics in Chester, Illinois.
June was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester. She was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Randolph County Genealogical Society, Chester Women's Club and Chester Memorial Hospital Auxilliary. June had a servant's heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.
