Mrs. June Barrow Jones, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 21, 2025.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 27th, at 11 AM in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church of Greenville. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, December 26th, from 6-8PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
June was born in Dover, North Carolina to Joseph Benjamin Barrow and Lucy Mae Evans Barrow, and lived in Craven County all of her youth. She married Seth Jones, Jr. in December 1950; they moved to Greenville in 1954 after her husband returned from the Korean war.
She loved children and provided childcare in her home for many years. She loved her church and was active in the ladies' ministries and the nursery. She and her husband were active in the POW/MIA activities. She especially loved baseball, and faithfully watched her boys, grandsons, granddaughters, and even great-grandkids play ball and other activities. She also enjoyed her granddaughters' activities. They supported little league baseball in Greenville for years and she worked in concessions. Her favorite time of year was Christmas!
June was preceded in death by her husband, Seth in 2008; brothers, Ben Barrow, Jr., William Earl "Sugarman" Barrow, and Jack Barrow; as well as a sister, Smoody Barrow Riggs.
She is survived by her Three sons, Seth Jones and wife, Lou, Jack B. Jones, and girlfriend, Barbara Harris; and Keith Jones and wife, Cheryl. Grandchildren, Jill Brown and husband, David, Jan Grillo and husband, John, Daniel Jones and wife, Brittany,
Dylan Jones and fiancé, Kacy, Jack Jones, Jr., Joey Gray and husband, Farris, Ailee Jones, and Erin Jones and boyfriend, Kaycen McCoy. Great-grandchildren, Saylor Jones, Cayson Jones, Eliza Gray, Lena Gray, Ryder Brown, Sawyer Brown, Silas Grillo, and Ruby June Grillo; Daughter-in-law, Aileen Jones; Brother, Charles Barrow; and Many nieces and nephews.
She had a lot of great care during her last days, especially from Jack Jones, Jr., Aileen Jones, Jada Al-Abbad, and Sarah Stambro. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Gentiva Hospice in Kinston, especially Heather Henderson and Anntawnett Young.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to her church, First Pentecostal Holiness of Greenville, 204 Brinkley Road, Greenville, NC 27858.

What a gem! One of the most important people in my life.. I'll never forget my time with her at the ballpark. Can still see her face and hear her voice. I'm sure the umpires in the league knew that voice! Going to miss dearly..Best wishes to Seth, Jack and Keith. Fond memories!

June brought so much joy to me each time I saw her. You could tell she was filled with the Holy Spirit by her loving nature. What a reunion she is having now in glory! I look forward to seeing her sweet smile when I see her in Heaven!
