Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. June Parker Kane, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 19, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Jerry Salsbury officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA.
Visitation will be from Noon until service time at Mulhearn’s.
Mrs. Kane died May 17, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
June was a member of West Monroe Methodist Protestant Church. She retired from State Farm Insurance Office in Monroe, LA and enjoyed her time with S & W Western Wear. She enjoyed deer hunting, horse riding, riding around with L.V. the past 20 years, and just being with her family.
June was preceded in death by her loving son, Justin Warren “Dusty” Kane; father, Warren Gamaliel Parker; her mother, Bertha Lee Ramsey; son-in-law, Mark Lenard; and stepfather, Claude Ramsey.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, L. V. Kane; Daughters, Misty K. Smith and husband, Billy, Shelia Crocker, and Wendy Lenard; Son, J. L. Kane; 11 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandson; Brother, Bobby Parker and wife, Mildred; and several nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be John Collins, Danny Collins, Marcus Lenard, Jamie Kane, Jeremy Crocker, and Luke Crocker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Thomas Collins, David Womack, Larry Smith, and Mike Gates.
A special thanks to Passages Hospice and staff and her caregiver Madison Reynolds.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the Ouachita Parish Humane Society.
