June A. Ling
86, of Fairborn, joined her children, Michael Ling and Patricia Habowski, in Heaven, on Friday, May 30, 2025.
She was born May 4, 1939, in Federalsburg, Maryland, to the late George and Edna (Jenkins) Gray.
In addition to her parents and children, June was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin Gray.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, George Ling; grandchildren, Joseph Bystrek, David Ling, Michael Ling, Paul Ling, and Kristen Ling; great granddaughter, Kali Bystrek with several other great grandchildren; brother, Robert Gray; and sister, Ellen Bailey.
June was a woman of quiet strength and boundless warmth. Known for her generosity, resourcefulness, and the way her kitchen always smelled like home, she had a gift for turning the simplest ingredients into something extraordinary. Her meals weren't just food, they were acts of love, sustaining family and friends through every season of life. Whether it was a hearty stew that lasted all week, or a last-minute meal made from "a little of this and that," June knew how to stretch what she had into something satisfying and memorable.
She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, George. Together, they embraced adventure and the open road, traveling countless miles across the United States and Canada on their motorcycle. With the wind at their backs and friends by their side, June and George found joy in the freedom of the ride and the peace of camping under starlit skies. Those journeys weren't just about the destinations, they were about laughter around the campfire, lifelong friendships, and moments that turned into treasured stories.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 1PM at Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria.
