June Carolyn Murphy

June Carolyn Murphy, 100, of Sullivans Island, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026.

Born on June 16, 1925 in Fairfax, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lucretia (McCullough) and Worley Wingard. In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Murphy.

June was an avid gardener and loved art. Her yard was colorful and clean, and her art was inspiring to other near her. Her sharp wit and smile will be missed by many. She enjoyed many years of traveling with her husband Nicholoas all over the country and some international adventures as well.

June is survived by her close friends Eugene and June Blanchard, who have lovingly aided her during these last years.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will occur at Fairfax Cemetery in Fairfax, SC next to her late husband.
