June "June Bug" Marion Rooks, 91, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on June 12, 2025. June was born on July 15, 1933, in Rockville Hanover, Virginia to the union of Charles William Gray and Esther Toler.
June bug was a magical person, even though some family and friends were afar, her love knew no bounds. She was always there for each one of us when it was needed. She touched many people with her kind, funny, smart, honest and brave nature. June was also known baking for her delicious cinnamon rolls!
Knowing her was a privilege but loving her was easy.
For 91 years, she loved her life. 74 of those years she loved being a dedicated wife. For 67 years, she loved being a mother. For 39 years she loved being a grandmother and for six years she absolutely adored being a great grandmother.
She leaves to cherish her memories to life long partner, James Royal Rooks, children: Patricia Rooks Neal(Thomas Neal), and David Lee Rooks (Donna Rooks), grandchildren: Danielle Neal Pecko (Joseph Pecko), Michael Rooks ( Kayleigh Rooks), Rachael Neal Maguire( Richard Maguire), Karen Rooks ( Kyle Hultgren), great-grandchildren: Sterling James Rooks, Thomas Joseph Pecko, Callahan June Maguire, Diane Christine Pecko along with many other family member and friends. She will be missed by all.
I love you more. Bye.
