June Sarazen

June A. Sarazen, age 93, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023 Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Bloomer. She was born on June 10, 1929 in Sand Creek to Tollef and Annie (Werner) Gunderson.

She married Gilbert W. Sarazen on September 9, 1950 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Bloomer. June worked as a secretary at the Bloomer Farmer's Store. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and GFWC Bloomer Women's Club. She enjoyed golfing, cooking, baking, and spending time at the cabin on Middle Eau Claire Lake.

She is survived by one son: Jeffrey (Cherri) Sarazen of Wausau; one daughter: Renee (Brent) LeMay of New Auburn; three grandchildren: Sean Sarazen, Marni Sarazen and Jamie Moos; great-grandson: Austin Moos.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Tollef and Annie Gunderson; husband: Gib Sarazen in 2014.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 5:00 - 6:45 PM at the Olson Funeral Home in Bloomer with a memorial service at 6:45 PM. Burial will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Spooner. Online condolences may be expressed at olsonfuneralhomebloomer.com
