June Ann Wells passed away peacefully to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, June 19, 2025, her 91st birthday. Funeral services will be Sunday, June,22, 2025 2:30 P.M. at Champion Baptist Church with Pastor Ken Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow at the Roscoe Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home. A friend'sand family visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 7 P.M. at McCoy Funeral Home. June was born on June 19, 1934, and married James Harrell Wells on June 6, 1952, in Roscoe. She was a faithful wife that accompanied him across the country throughout his military career. She was a member of Champion Baptist Church where she served as the song leader for many years. She loved her family, especially her grandkids, church, birds, cooking, traveling with cousins, singing hymns all day every day, and the color pink. Preceding her in death were her parents, Charlesand Lottie Elliott, her husband of 71 years James Wells, one sister and one brother. June is survived by her 4 daughters: Cinda Alexander (Abilene), Linda Allen & husband David (Abilene), Patty Miles & husband Billy (Sweetwater) and Jandi Boil (Sweetwater). Her grandchildren Justin Alexander (wife Tamara), Clint Allen (wife Melissa), Jason Alexander, Kayla Clabaugh (husband Joe), Jaclyn Tomlin (husband Justin), Ashley Bowen (husband Levi), Dusty Allen (wife Chaile), Britt Miles (wife Hillary), Dylan Miles, Brayden Boil and Bryli Boil. 22 great grandchildren: Jaci (husband Jon Tyler), Jaden, Christyn, Caden, Taylor, Easton, Kaylee (husband Jusiah), Cameron, Paislee, Reagan, Reed, Madison, Cason, Grady, Sterling, Graham, Calvin, Dakota, Addison, Jaden (wife Chloe), Camden, Jabree, one sister Joy Brown, 2 nephews Bobby Miller and wife Nelwyn, Billy Wells and wife Denise, special friends Howard and Jewell Rogers, and a great friend and caregiver Linda Freeman. Pallbearers will be her Grandsons: Justin Alexander, Clint Allen, Jason Alexander, Dusty Allen, Britt Miles, Dylan Miles, and Brayden Boil. Honorary pallbearers will be Champion Baptist Church Deacons and Special Friends: Kerry Owens, Wendell Bankhead, Randall Bankhead, Mark Wright and Bryan Bankhead. A special thank you goes to Hendrick Hospice nurses and staff for the excellent care they have provided over the last few months. Memorials may be made to Champion Baptist Church, Highland Hilltop Foundation, Hendrick Hospice Care, or a charity of your choice.
