June Odella Wright

Wright, June O. June Odella Wright, age 94, of Minnetonka, MN passed away surrounded by love, on 9/18/2025. June was born in Spring Grove, MN on June 16, 1931. She studied cosmetology after high school and began her career in Rochester, MN. She married Harold Wright in 1952 and joined him where he was stationed during his army career. They returned to Spring Grove, where she worked at the Spring Grove Hospital until moving to Aberdeen, SD in 1971. She worked in retail at Shopko. They returned to Minnesota in 1977, they lived in Minnetonka, and she worked and retired from Kmart after 25 years. In retirement she worked part time at Turk, a garden store and as an election judge. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Mike) Leimer and Susan (Bob) Welliver; son, Dr. David (Pamela) Wright; granddaughter, Sarah (Carlos) Arroyo; grandsons, Nicholas (Melissa) Welliver and Maxwell Wright; great-granddaughters, Jada and Savannah Arroyo; and sister, Donna McDonagh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; parents, Bernard and Violet Ganrud; brother, Gordon (Ruth) Ganrud; sisters, Beulah (Carlton) Onstad and Alice (Bill) MacDowell; and brother-in-law, Jack McDonagh. Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 12, at 11AM at Oak Knoll Lutheran Church (600 Hopkins Crossroad, Minnetonka) with visitation one hour prior.
