June Yoncha Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burbage Funeral Home - Berlin on Jul. 1, 2024.
June Delores Yoncha, age 89, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, at Citizens Care Nursing and Rehabilitation in Havre De Grace, MD. Born in Baltimore City, MD, she was the daughter of the late Aubin Galjour, Clydia Galjour Blankner and stepfather Charles Blankner ("Pop").
June was a loving wife and mother, whose life revolved around her family. She and John, her devoted husband of 62 years, shared in the caretaking of their beloved daughter Carole until John's passing in 2019. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were June's pride and joy. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than their visits. Her happiest times were spent with her family and dear friends around the kitchen table or chatting with them on the phone. June's final few years were spent at Citizens Care Center with the wonderful people on Tidewater Cove floor. The family will be forever grateful for the loving care June received from everyone there.
She is survived by her children, Susan Poholsky (John) and Michael Yoncha, her five grandchildren; Abby Potts (Danny), Alex Poholsky (Cassie), Danielle Lebson (Andrew), Mary-Frances Scheinfeld (Matt), and Mattie Yoncha (Aaron), as well as her six great-grandchildren; Stella Potts, Carli Potts, Madelynn Poholsky, Molly Poholsky, Rita Lebson and Charlie Lebson; and her ex daughter-in-law, Beth, who remains close to the family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her loving husband, John Yoncha, and her daughter, Carole Yoncha.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July, 5, 2024, at 10:00 AM, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Ocean City, MD. Burial will be at a later date at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, MD. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to the Foundation for Prader-Willi Research (fpwr.org).
Letters of condolence can be sent to the family via www.burbagefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are in care of The Burbage Funeral Home, Berlin, MD
