Junior Gordon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miller Funeral Services - Houston on Dec. 11, 2025.
Junior Uriah Gordon was born on April 10, 1955, in Kingston, Jamaica, to the late Harris Gordon and Mavis Anglin-Robinson. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
During his high school years, Junior excelled in cricket-a passion that earned him a feature in his local newspaper, The Gleaner, a proud moment he and his family remembered fondly.
Before marriage, Junior welcomed his first son, Troy, in August 1984 in Jamaica. Junior and Stephanie shared over four decades of life together, traveling to places such as Jamaica, Aruba, and Canada. They were married for 29 of those years, beginning in March 1996 in Toronto, Canada. The couple welcomed two children, born in 1990 and 1994. In the late 1990s, the family moved to the United States, and in the early 2000s, Troy joined them in Houston. Junior was a devoted and hardworking provider, often holding two jobs to support his family until his retirement.
Junior loved to sing, dance, and watch sports. His favorite color was yellow, and he especially enjoyed cooking-confidently declaring himself "the best cook." He also enjoyed watching the news and staying informed about current events. His generosity was one of his most defining qualities; he loved treating family members to meals whenever they visited. Whether it was CiCi's Pizza, Golden Corral, Spring Creek, or his personal favorite, Chili's, sharing food brought him joy. He also cherished going out for breakfast with his wife, a simple yet meaningful tradition they both loved.
Junior's life was marked by love, dedication, and the joy he found in family. His laughter, warmth, and generous spirit will forever be remembered by those who loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his sons, Troy and Kareem; his daughter, Tiffanie; his grandson, Khamari; his siblings, Carol, Daniel, Conroll, Clive, Tony, Sharon, Mikey, Milan, Bridgette; his son-in-law, Kenneth; and a host of relatives across Canada, the United States, England, and Jamaica.
