Junior Lawrence Hunte

  Junior Lawrence Hunte, age 61, of Rio Rancho, NM, entered into eternal rest on October 5, 2025. He was born on January 8, 1964, in Trinidad and Tobago to Edward and Eileen Hunte.

  Junior had a passion for life and a love for people that touched everyone he met. Above all, soccer was his greatest joy—a lifelong devotion that brought him immense happiness. He also cherished music, his beloved home island of Trinidad, and the time spent with those closest to him.

  Throughout his career, Junior worked at Intel, where he built lasting friendships and contributed his talents. He married Andrea Burrell-Hunte, and together they had a daughter, Julissa Hunte, both of whom he loved deeply. He shared a special bond with his brothers, Edwin and Kirt, and treasured their brotherhood throughout his life.

  Junior is preceded in death by his mother, Eileen Hunte, and his father, Edward Hunte. He is survived by his devoted wife, Andrea Burrell-Hunte; his daughter, Julissa Hunte; and his brothers, Edwin and Kurt.

Memorial services will be held on November 7, 2025, at Daniels Funeral Home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at 4:00 PM.
