It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Junior Ned Morrison who left this world on October 31, 2025, in Cleveland, Tennessee. Born on June 12, 1932, in Etowah, TN, Junior lived a life rich with and dedicated to family, friends, and service to his community.
Junior was known for his caring heart and unwavering commitment to those he loved He spent his formative years helping to support his family, having made the difficult decision to leave school in the sixth grade to manage the family farm. This responsibility shaped him into a person whose work ethic was as steadfast as the very fields he tended. Junior eventually joined the Tennessee Department of Transportation, where he found a fulfilling career that spanned more than 30 years, earning the respect of his colleagues and the community alike.
He leaves behind a loving family who cherished him dearly. His brother, Clarence Morrison (Kay), and sisters, Carrie Everette and Geneva Daniels, all of Cleveland and Decatur, TN, together with several nieces and nephews, hold fond memories of Junior's warm smile and generous spirit. Their lives are brighter and fuller for having shared time with a man who cared profoundly for others.
Junior is preceded in death by his beloved siblings: Mary Frances Dye and Ruby Lillian Denton, and his cherished parents, Harley Morrison and Lula Mae Cooley. They welcomed him with open arms as he journeyed into the beyond, where he will be reunited with those he loved dearly.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Charter Senior Living for the great care provided to Junior, demonstrating the compassion that he inspired in others throughout his life.
In honor of Junior's life, visitation services will be held on November 5, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cleveland. A funeral service will take place the following day, November 6, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM at the same location, followed by a burial service at Goodsprings Baptist Church in Etowah at 2:30 PM.
As we say our goodbyes, we celebrate Junior Morrison’s remarkable life—a legacy of dedication, love, and kindness that will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
