Junior E. Rector, age 96 of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away peacefully with his wife and children by his side on December 24, 2025. He was born April 18, 1929 and grew up in Cookeville, Tennessee son of the late John and Nellie Rector.

Junior was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a faithful man who loved God. Junior was a dedicated employee at General Motors for over 30 years. He was a hard worker and loved to tinker with anything that had a motor. He was a kind and generous man who would help anyone in need. Junior will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his siblings, Vallie Harris, Shirley Rector, Grady Rector, Marie Mathis, Deverne Rector, and Cornell Beam; and son-in-law, Randy Bockrath.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Linda Rector; children, Debbie Bockrath and John (Kim) Rector; grandchildren, Kent (Jennifer) Dietrich, Alicia (Ryan) Blair, Logan Bockrath, Austin Rector, and Ashley Rector; great grandchildren, Lexi, Maya, Reaghan, Ava, and Lacey; sister, Joann Hall; several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 9:30am-10:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 10:30am with Pastor Tim Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio.
