Anthony Tyler Rector

Anthony Tyler Rector, 35, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, husband of Heather Cruise Rector, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, on April 12, 1990, to Lisa Jones (David Morrow) and Oris Murrell (Della). He was employed at Longhorn Steakhouse in Lexington, Kentucky. In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters, Amillia Rector- Gray, and Sawyer Rector, and a stepson, Bryson Derifield. Additional survivors include three sisters, Shelly Murrell, Christy Burton, and Cynthia Jones; three brothers, Rodney Jones, Jacob Jones, and Eric Helm; his grandmother, Granny Dorothy Hair; special friends, Wyatt Turner and Stephen Lunsford; several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and a special Fur Baby, his dog, Ringo. Anthony was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.C. (Helen) Rector, Oris (Millie) Murrell, and great-grandparents, Charlie (Dellie) Burton. Private services will be held at Betts & West Funeral Home. Honorary Bearers will be Stephen Lundsford, Wyatt Turner, Chase Littral, Jordan Nevels, Jacob Jones, Eric Helm, Steve Rector, Jeff Rector, Cameron Rector, and Elmer West.
