Jurene Makakilo Shiroma Rocha

Jurene Makakilo Shiroma Rocha, 45, of Hilo, HI, died peacefully at her home on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born in Hilo, HI., to parents Julian (Naomi) Shiroma of Captain Cook, and Rene (Eric) LaMadrid-Ahu of Pahoa. She was a 1996 graduate of Waiakea High School, and attended courses at Hilo Community College in their Electrical Program and DeVry University. She worked as a Junior Planner for HELCO. She was a caring and devoted woman to all she loved. She is survived by her parents above and: Husband, Clifford Stanley Kaipo Rocha of Hilo; Sons, Grant Shiroma, Jr. of Hilo, and David Soares, Jr. of Hilo; Daughters, Jaylen Shiroma of Pahoa and Taysia Rocha of Hilo; Brothers, Jerry (Brianne) Shiroma of Wailua, Kauai, Jace Shiroma of Honolulu and Erik Keola Ahu of North Carolina; Sister, Jenna Shiroma of Captain Cook and Shelby Ahu of Kea'au; Nephews, Kauli'a, Keao, Nohili, and Kawena; numerous uncles & aunties, nieces & nephews, cousins, hanai family and friends. Private services held, however, memorial tributes may be sent to her daughter, Jaylen Shiroma, RR3 Box 1122, Pahoa, HI 96778.
