Justin John Barrett, age 40, a resident of Plainfield, IL, passed away November 20, 2023. He was born on December 31, 1982 in Joliet, IL.
Justin is survived by his loving parents, John and Cathy Barrett (nee Lepacek); as well as his brother and sister-in-law, nephews (including Godson), Godmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fiance. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Olga Barrett, Ed and Helen Lepacek, Godfather, and his faithful four-legged friend of 17 years, Bailey.
Justin, known to family by the nickname Hoover, graduated from St. Mary Immaculate Grade School, Class of 1997 and Joliet Catholic Academy, Class of 2001. While in high school he played football for JCA and was a member of the back-to-back State Champion 1999 & 2000 teams. He furthered his education at Illinois State University and earned his bachelor's degree in marketing in 2005. Professionally, he was a proven Sales Leader and extremely accomplished in his industry.
Justin was full of life, fun-loving, and always smiling. He would never back down to lend a helping hand and put other's needs before his own. He loved to spend time outdoors no matter the time of year. Justin made time to explore the world and travelled extensively with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to his family to be used according to their wishes.

Justin, you were my manager during the night shift at Target. At the time you were the only manager that showed anyone cared about us. You worked late till mid morning after we all left to ensure loads were complete. I´m so sorry to your family for their lost.

Justin or as I knew him by Barrett was such a great friend and had a huge heart. He will be truly missed by all. He always lit up the room when he would enter it. Barrett, I will never delete our messages we sent last month to each other. Rest easy my friend.

Oh Justin, what I wouldn´t give for one more phone call with you. You always knew how to make everyone happy, and you certainly did love to play tourist in San Antonio. I will carry my memories with me everywhere I go.

My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. I'll always remember the many times that Justin made us all (Atlas Copco friends) laugh and his award winning smile. Justin was always so kind to me when we worked together, and I'll never forget that. Rest assured that Justin's memory will live on through the impact that he made on the world.
