Justin Dean Dampier

Justin Dean Dampier, born on June 1, 1959, in Buffalo, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025, at the age of 66. A beloved family member and a cherished friend, Justin lived a life rich in love, laughter, and adventure. He gave his life to Christ at an early age attending London Smoke Baptist Church in Long Lane, MO. Justin attended school at Long Lane k-6 th and went on to attend school in Buffalo.

From a young age, Justin developed a passion for horse training, which he pursued throughout his life as a professional horse trainer, and was a lifetime member of the Missouri Foxtrotting Horse Breed Association. He produced countless world grand champion Missouri Foxtrotters, including the breed standard horse. His talent always set the bar high in the show ring. Justin spent countless hours hunting and fishing, and especially loved coon hunting with a good Treeing Walker hound. Justin also had a talent for cooking, and enjoyed singing and playing guitar with his family and friends.

Justin is survived by his loving daughters, Jessica Shook (Josh), Katy Dampier, and their mother, Lorraine Bradley, his father, Frank Dean Dampier, his brothers and sisters, Steve Dampier (Tracy), Edna Hale (Rick), and Becky Dampier, as well as his adored grandchildren-Colton Dean Dampier, Ali Shook, and Max Shook, his significant other Janet Thompson; along with a host of family and friends. Each of these individuals carries a piece of Justin's spirit, and his legacy continues through their lives. Justin was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Dampier.

A visitation will take place at Greenlawn Funeral Home East on November 23, 2025, from 4pm – 6pm, allowing loved ones to share stories, reflect on memories, and come together in support of one another. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Justin's daughters to help defray funeral expenses. A graveside service celebrating Justin's life will be held on November 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Bower Cemetery, Urbana, Missouri.

In this time of remembrance, let us come together to celebrate Justin Dean Dampier-a man whose hearty laugh, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
