Christine (McDaniel) Dampier 74 was born on March 28, 1951, to Glover Marie McDaniel and Joseph Haynes in Stovall, Mississippi.
She departed this life's assignment on Sunday August 10, 2025. Christine confessed a hope in Christ at a young age and continued her kingdom work throughout her life. She was a faithful member of the Body of Christ serving in many capacities at several churches including Rising Star M. B Church of East St. Louis, Illinois; Mt. Ararat of St. Louis, Missouri; Greater Providence M. B. Church of East St. Louis, Illinois; and is a current member of Log Providence M. B. Church of
Columbia, Missouri. Christine retired from the University Hospital of
Columbia, Missouri on May 16, 2015, where her impact on staff and patients will never be forgotten.
Christine was a staple in the community where her home, at 204 W. Worley, represented a refuge of light and hope for anyone needing help under any circumstance. Thrift shopping and kindness were her hobbies and she became 'Mama Christine to every soul who came in contact with her.
Christine lived this life to the fullest and leaves behind a legacy of strong life memories. She is survived by her children Sharon L. Walter (Sullivan), Traci Logan (Squire), Raymond C. Dampier (Samantha), Janice L. Brooks (Alvin), M.C. Dampier Jr. (Pamela), and Miesha L. Dampier. Her grandchildren Shenika, Travis, Jasmine, Terry, Larrion, Travez, LaVonte', Raymond Jr., Keona, Malik, Tyrese, Mariah, Draquawn Sr., Javion, Moncory, Damaryee, Marquez, Khaleel, Tevarus, Christopher, Mar'Kiez, Markies, and Miyanna. Christine was preceded in death by her loving mother, Glover Marie Williams, and three siblings, McKinley McDaniel, Willie McDaniel, and Catherine Williams, two grandchildren Monquez, and Monquael Smith, and one great grandchild Sanundrea Dampier.
Words are shallow when trying to express the impact that Mama Christine had on the lives of those that had the honor of making her acquaintance. If you met her you were no longer a stranger; you immediately became family. She is irreplaceable and will truly be missed by many.
