He was preceded in death by his mother, Stephanie Herring; and his grandparents, Stephanie Pierre, Raymond Pierre, Roy Herring, and Quennie Herring.
He is survived by his daughters, Sailor Stephanie Milagros Herring and her mother, Jennifer, and Harper Jean Rose Herring and her mother, Ashley; his father, Randy Herring (Christina);a sister, Marissa Orr (Richard); a brother, Adam Herring (Lauren); his fiancé, Markelle Searcy and her children, Chaseigh Moran, Alley Searcy, and Axel Searcy; his nephews, Abe, Leo, Shep, and Teddy Herring; a niece, Lenni Herring; an uncle, Danny Herring (Dee); and his family at the Gulfport Fire Department.
Justin was a lifelong resident of Long Beach and was a graduate of the Gulfport Fire Academy. He was currently an Engineer on Engine 3 with the Gulfport Fire Department. He received several awards for his service and was dedicated to helping his fellow firefighters. He enjoyed working out at the gym and serving as a personal trainer. He was a self-proclaimed “foodie” and enjoyed getting “tatted up” at Twisted Anchor. Justin was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and he will be greatly missed by all of his family, friends, and firefighters.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 10 am - 12 pm at St. James Catholic Church, 366 Cowan Rd, Gulfport. A prayer service will be at 12 pm in the church. A procession will leave the church and go to the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. A reception will be held in the funeral home community room from 1:30 - 3:30 pm.
